Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised accredited training developed for participants to learn how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
ADES National Services Manager and accredited MHFA facilitator, Michael Donehue explains that “MHFA training is an excellent way to equip yourself with the skills and knowledge to support not only yourself, but the people around you. Knowledge is power and the more MHFA training sessions we can deliver within the community, the more comfortable and confident they will be to look out for the signs and ask the difficult questions to people they care about.”
