Alcohol Education Training for Teachers
Training provides teachers and staff with numerous strategies, activities, lesson plans and resources to implement into existing alcohol education between year levels 7-12. Training duration is 2 hours, which can be delivered over two 1 hour sessions.
Topic areas covered include What is Alcohol?, Standard Drinks, Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.), Australian Alcohol Statistics, Effects of Alcohol on the body, Harms and Risks of Alcohol use and Symptoms of Alcohol impairment. Activities and resources, developed by AlcoCups, ensure that all learning styles of students are catered for. This enables teachers to deliver a lesson which appeals to all students.
It is recommended that schools purchase at least one AlcoCups educational kit. Each kit contains a USB with more than 12 separate alcohol lesson plans, DVDs, resources from the ADF, Beyond Blue and AlcoCups.
Each kit costs $25 (incl GST).

Drug Education Training for Teachers
Training provides teachers and staff with numerous strategies, activities, lesson plans and resources to implement into existing drug education between year levels 7-12. Training duration is 2 hours, which can be delivered over two 1 hour sessions.
Topic areas covered include the 3 Drug Categories, what category specific drugs belong to, detailed outline of specific drugs (pharmaceuticals, cannabis, ecstasy, energy drinks, speed and Ice), immediate, short and long term effects of drug use, dangers associated with drug use. Activities and resources, developed by AlcoCups, ensure that all learning styles of students are catered for. This enables teachers to deliver a lesson which appeals to all students.
