Information Session for Staff

AlcoCups specialise in delivering innovaitive, informative and interactive alcohol and other drug information sessions. Sessions can be tailor made to address topic areas of concern to specific target audience.

Topic areas for alcohol include standard drinks, Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.), Australian statistics regarding alcohol, immediate, short and long term effects of alcohol and harms and risks associated with alcohol (using the Fatal Vision Goggles). 

Topic areas for drugs include drug categories, specific descriptions of certain drugs (cannabis, ecstasy and methamphetamine ect), Australian statistics regarding illicit drug use and what illicit drugs are made of.

AlcoCups develop and use the latest resources to enhance the learning experience of attendants.

Sessions can be delivered to audiences as small as 10 people and as large as 250 people. Duration of specialised sessions can range from 60 minutes to 3 hours.

Training for Staff

AOD Education Training for Staff

Training aims to reduce work related incidents by increasing staff knowledge and awareness with regards to alcohol and other drugs. Training, delivered over 3 hours (can be reduced upon request), is innovative, interactive and informative, focussing on numerous alcohol and drug topics.

Topic areas for alcohol include Standard Drinks, Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.), Alcohol Statistics, Harms and Risks of alcohol (using Fatal Vision Goggles). Topic areas for drugs include the 3 Drug Categories, Symptoms of drugs, Different types of drugs (cannabis, ecstasy, ice, GHB, pharmaceuticals) immediate, short and long term effects of illicit drugs, what products are used to create drugs and the effects on the body.

Training accommodates a maximum of 50 staff, with staff participating in numerous interactive activities throughout the training. Activities include standard drink pouring, understanding B.A.C., harms and risks of alcohol using the Fatal Vision Goggles, Drug categories and types, what are illicit drugs made from.

Cost: $895 (ex GST) per session (regardless of numbers). Travel expenses may be incurred depending on location.

Train the Trainer Alcohol Education Program for Staff

The Train the Trainer alcohol education program is ideal for HR representatives or management. It provides the information for these staff members to deliver a 1 hour alcohol information session to fellow staff members.

The TtheT is a peer to peer approach aimed at changing alcohol culture in the workplace.

The training duration  is 3 hours, focusing on strategies, methods and activities for delivering a 1 hour alcohol information session to fellow staff members. Furthermore the training provides HR and management with numerous activities which can be implemented into existing workplace training programs.

Some of the activities include 3on3 soccer tournaments and MarioKart on the Nintendo Wii competitions where staff must wear the Fatal Vision Goggles while competing. For further information regarding these activities please contact AlcoCups directly. 

Specialised training facilitator packs, consisting of a USB with manuals, activity outlines and resources, are also available and highly recommended (at least 2). Each facilitator’s pack is $25.00 each (ex GST).

AlcoCups provide ongoing support to each workplace post training.

The training duration  is 3 hours, focusing on strategies, methods and activities for delivering a 1 hour drug information session to fellow staff members. Furthermore the training provides HR and management with numerous activities which can be implemented into existing worplace training programs.

Some of the activities include ‘looking after your mates obstacle course’ and the ‘dance floor scenario’ where staff must wear the Fatal Vision Goggles while participating in the activities.
