UniCAN Award for Excellence in Providing Alcohol Education
The 2017 UniCAN Award for Excellence in Providing Alcohol Education winners Student Village the University of Melbourne Campus CLV
The UniCAN Award for Excellence in Providing Alcohol Education is for University Residential sites which currently hold a Level 1 or above UniCAN accreditation.
Michael Donehue, National Services Manager at Alcohol and Drug Education Specialists (ADES), puts together a short list of university residential providers (between 5 and 10) based on the below guidelines. The short list is then provided to the panellists and is not made public.
The award is determined by a panel of experts (see below for the panel of experts), of who have vast experience in the university residential sector. Each panellist follows a specific criterion of guidelines, developed by ADES, and rates the sites from 8 through to 1. The scores are then combined from all panellists to determine which residential site receives the award for Excellence in Providing Alcohol Education.
The scores provided by the panellists are confidential and not made known to the respective residential sites participating in the UniCAN program.
